I wanted to personally invite you all to attend a business breakfast we are putting together in Millinocket. The breakfast is happening on September 22nd from 9-11 am at the New England Outdoor Center in Millinocket.


The goal of this breakfast is to connect area entrepreneurs and small businesses with the resources and help that are available to them. Representatives from the following have confirmed they will be on hand:

– Maine Small Business Development Centers

- U.S. Small Business Administration

- MaineStream Finance

- New Ventures Maine (Formerly Women, Work & Community)

- Eastern Maine Development Corporation

- State of Maine Department of Economic and Community Development

- Katahdin Higher Education Center


In addition, we are bringing in Bob Crowley, small business owner and winner of “Survivor: Gabon”, who will be speaking about his experiences on Survivor and as a recreational small business owner in Maine.


For those who might not know about our program, the Maine Small Business Development Centers (Maine SBDC) provides free one-on-one business advising to entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout the state at no cost. About a year ago, we received a grant to provide additional services in the Katahdin region. This event is part of those activities.
