OUR KATAHDIN – FORMER GREAT NORTHERN PAPER MILL – Roll Storage and Machine Shop Buildings Cleanup Project

Our Katahdin (OK) was awarded a U.S. EPA Brownfields Cleanup Grant in the sum of $4,000,000 to support the cleanup and redevelopment of the Roll Storage and Machine Shops Buildings on the former Great Northern Paper mill site in Millinocket, Maine. OK is requesting proposals from qualified environmental professionals (QEP) to assist with implementation of the grant-funded cleanup. A copy of the request for proposals is located on OK’s website at www.ourkatahdin.com.

QEP proposals are due by 5:00 P.M on February 26, 2026. Proposals should be sent via email to OK’s Director of Mill Site Redevelopment, Steve Sanders at [email protected].
