This notice is to inform the public that Our Katahdin Capital is submitting an application to receive funding from the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development Brownfield Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) to perform cleanup activities at the former Miller’s Department Store located at 230 Penobscot Avenue in Millinocket, Maine. RLF Grant funds would be used to cleanup and abate pigeon guano and hazardous building materials to support redevelopment and reuse of the building. A copy of the draft application and a Draft Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) is currently available for public review at the Our Katahdin Capital office located at 245 Aroostook Avenue in Millinocket, and on Our Katahdin Capital’s website.
Our Katahdin Capital will be receiving public comments on these documents until Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. Comments can be submitted in writing to Mr. Steve Sanders via email at steve at onekatahdin dot com.
