Millinocket Memorial Library could be facing a $23,000 budget cut as a result of Millinocket’s fiscal problems. The Friends of Millinocket Memorial Library are committed to raising that amount of money and more. One person experienced in grant writing has stepped forward to research grants. On Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. members of the Friends will meet at the library to brainstorm ideas for a capital fund raising campaign. Interested persons would be welcome, especially those with ideas for raising money that will keep this cultural asset in place and operating more than its current three days a week.
